In case anyone has any interest click the attached link to give roll out dates for Freeview HD services. Looks like the World Cup [zzzzzzzzz] will be available for some of the country

The £75 is an install charge, not a purchase charge.

I believe they can't charge for BBC HD, "thanks to the unique way the BBC is funded". Other HD channels may be chargeable, I guess.
Sorry for going off topic, the sentiment posted of making VM think about how (if) it should start to charge for HD is a good one, based on the availability of Freesat HD and soon Freeview HD.
