Bose mk2 802's and 302 Subs
Discussion
Should be fine ( 802s rated at 240w with max of 114dB if fed by the right amp ) but a couple of questions.
a. What amplifiers will used ? Will the 802s be coming with their active controller ??
b. What source / mixing desk is going to be used ?

I'll come back to you with some more information when I get it.
Its basically a big empty warehouse space taht I've taken on for my own business, but before I put anything in, I'm just going to put on a 'rave', lol. There won't be more than 500 people there and music would just be some sort of dance electro stuff. I'm not actually promoting it - I'm merely taking out the licenses and organising the equipment and bar.
Equipment/source wise would be standard night club spec, so probably along the lines of CDJ Pioneer CD decks with either an industry standard Allen and Heath Mixer, or a Pioneer DJM mixer. I'm not totally sure about the AMPs yet.
Also, what would be the best way to set the venue up. We have the DJ on a platform in one of the corners, but speaker wise, would we be best sticking half in two corners, at one side of the room, or split it between all four corners.
Thanx for the help.

302 subs could go tight into the corners to give the best boundary reinforcement (+9dB) and best to have 2 stacks firing down the longest dimension rather than using all 4 corners IMHO. This prevents cancellations in the middle and give a quieter end for the bar
802s should be high up if possible 'cos 500 people will soak up a lot of HF.
What are the floor dimensions ?

Its just a rectangle shaped warehouse. Floor probably totals up at about 2700sqft.
I'm not familiar with commercial audio equipment, but the system that someone else offered me was customer built and was probably ten times the size of the Bose. Size isn't everything but can something this small produce the bass that the type of music I am playing needs.
Once again thanx for the advice.

With amps capable of giving 400 watts into 4 ohms for the 302s you should be OK if the cabs are in the corners.
