Hello, we have a Samsung 40" LCD tv that we are pleased with, but recently it has started clicking continuosly when you try turn it on. Sometimes it will click for a good few minutes and other times it will click 7 or 8 times then turn on.
Does anybody have any idea what is causing this? confused
Typically it is just out of warrenty rolleyes. Does it sound like a cheap fix or should I be looking at buying a new TV?

Cheers for any help. smile

Sale of goods act. My Samsung went pop a couple of years outside the warranty period and I got it fixed by quoting said act.

Did a quick google search and it turns out this is a common problem on Samsungs, they use capacitors that are not strong enough. 10 mins work with a solder and 3 new capacitors - that cost a whole £1.22! thumbup - it is working correctly again!! woohoo
I bet Samsung or whoever would have repaired it would have charged a fortune for it!!

Dont worry if it is just out of warranty - contact your retailer and get him to speak to his account manager,

or call 0845 SAMSUNG - they will sort it out
