Hi all looking to get a new telly and im down to hopefully my last few
I watch a fair amount of football and cricket, so motion blur is a major issue. That being said do high end LCD's still suffer from this,I'm thinking of the Philips 9000 series TV's
In the plasma range it seems the Panny V10 is as good as it gets for the money unless I've missed something special
So my question is how well does the Panny v10 stand against the Phillips 9000 series?
And as a second question is there anything else out there thats ive missed, ive already discounted the new Samsungs having seen one in a home installation.

I have just had the Panasonic 42V10 fitted in my lounge and must say it is very impressive, i would love to get the wireless/ethernet bridge fitted so its all singing and dancing with the net but not sure which route to go down. The choice is either a plugged/mains system or the wireless system, any one know the best one?
I got my 42V10 for 987gbp on a pricematch from John Lewis, inc 5 year warranty..

Sorry to hijack the thread rather than start my own but was wondering if the G10 is still a worthwhile buy?
I have a love / hate relationship with my Kuro LCD which has real motion-handling problems, and am thinking of swapping it for the G10 / X10 42" Panny plasma. Budget would therefore be around £700 (which I would hope to get for the Kuro).

Standard def is bloody awful though.
;( Thats the part i was hoping to get a major improvemant in,most sports are excellent in HDbut no so good in SD
In what way are you find SD to be "bloody awful", and what's your source(s), when it is?
42V10 here as well. No issues with SD from Freesat, Freeview or Sky.
As mentioned HD and blu-ray are simply fantastic. Especially if you've spent about 1/2 hour with some basic calibration tools to get the display to work even better in your home environment (mainly just contrast and brightness to suit lighting levels).

As I said though, it doesn't bother me as I mainly use the Panny with HD sources.
