Has anyone else noticed a hike in their Sky DD this month?

Mine has jumped up from £36 to £39 a month. With absolutely no explanation, letter or notice.

Having checked on their site, my package should be £38 a month now, leaving £1 which I have tracked down to the appearance of the News package, which we have never had, don't want and haven't ever specified, so presumably they have tried their luck and banged it on (again, not the first time...)

I get the impression I'm going to have to phone them again, shout at someone and use words like BT and Virgin...

It isn't so much the hike that bothers me, but the fact that they have seemingly imposed it without bothering to let me, their customer, know.

Mention the leaflet from Virgin you've received in the junkmail post enticing Sky customers.

We really did get one, and are really tempted by their free HD...)

I did notice last month that they said the new and improved Sky mag would be £2.99 from Jan 1st although I'm not sure if this is already included in the monthly charge.
Mine has just gone up by a fiver on the BB because I refuse to take their Sky Talk package.

Ours changes anyway due to calls, noticed they put up sky talk by £1, but that is all, changed a lot from when we first took it out, basic package was £18 when we first started using it in 2005 and now is £23

we keep getting offered free or half price movies for 6 months everytime we try to take off movies, time to make the call again this week...

I signed up to the channels bar sport and movies including HD, free hd box for £11 a month.

1 year contract, will promptly cancel it though.

How did you get this deal? Was it advertised or did you negotiate?

I am going to sign up this week and want Sky+ with all but sports and movies, don't want to pay for the box or installation either.

it was on hotukdeals.

U had to stick some sort of code in somewhere on their website, they may even give me £100 cashback from quidco, although I doubt it.
