Additional Sky Box

If i have a sky box downstairs and another upstairs and decide in a spare room i wanted a further sky box with just the free channels, any idea how i can do this?

The cabling is already there back to the LNB i think, but would i need another card from sky to still be able to see the free channels?

You could get a Freesat box in there or a sky box with a free to air card in it (just a cancelled subscription card)

You shouldn't need another box - just use your old skybox.

You don't need a card either, but you may get a message every now and again asking for one - just press ok or cancel.

Works for me.

I use a sky box for free services and certain ones dont work without a card.

I found that channel 5 didn't work without an old skycard in the slot, but it does now.

hmm, ill have to try pulling it out, at one time some channels where FTV but had to be scrambled so they couldnt be viewed outside of the country
