Which Yamaha (or other) sound bar ?
Discussion
I recently got the ysp 600. Its in the spare bedroom/study/game room and I really didnt want the wires of a full suround system.
Its not bad and certainly adds a hint of suround sound over and above what the TV can manage on its own. Nothing like as good as the cheapest of proper 5.1 systems though it reminds of the effect of the old pro-logic systems ... but not as effective.
Theres also little bass so you would need to budget for a sub as well. Yamaha do a compatible one for £120 iirc and thats the one I went for.
That sounds like a bit of a downer and I woulndt say I was disapointed but just be aware that its going to be nothing like as good as the same money spent on a full 5.1 setup.
