I have some Panasonic plasma from 6 or 7 years ago. It was the first home use plasma that looked any good, cost me 4 grand at the time ! but its a bit long in the tooth now and needs updating. I wanted a pioneer but they seem expensive but i definitely want 50" and freesat would be nice. I have narrowed it down to the PANASONIC VIERA TXP50G10 which is 899 at Richer sounds but thought i'd put this to any experts here to get any feedback or any ideas. When i bought my last one it was only panasonic and pioneer who made respectable plasmas but I don't know if that's still the case and if there is any other models that will compete with teh G10 at 900 quid odd ?

I got the 42" G10 and didnt find many other viable plasma options, about the only other manufacturers that still make plasma are LG and Samsung but the Pannys are generally regarded as being better, although not perfect and not as good as the Pioneer Kuros if you can find one / have that kind of budget.

Not sure what Deristrictor is selling them for now but worth checking out this thread for good G10 deals that people have spotted.

This saves me starting a thread on it smile
Remember about 5 years ago when my dad paid £3200 for a philips 42" plasma screen just seems like madness now :/
