Any TV guys around?

I have last years 50" panasonic and this morning when i switched it on none of the HDMI inputs were working.

Turned the TV on and off a few times with no joy, unplugged them all and plugged them back in and all is now fine. Has anyone heard of this happening and is it a sign of problems to come?

I guess that all depends on whether you need an excuse to buy a new TV or not... wink

It has the last of the five yr warrantees so i am not worried, i just want to know if i should invoke the warrantee now or wait until it actually dies hehe

Could be oxidisation of the connectors - if you have some neat IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol/Isopropanol - Chemists often have it), give them a wipe with a lint-free cloth or pipecleaner (if they still exist), and monitor the situation to see if it happens again.

Thanks, I am sure it was just one of those glitches that happens to everything once in a while as i have never had that problem before with anything, and the leads and TV are all fairly new.

I think my TV is safe smile
