Advice required in how to enable my Sky + to work with a second (kids) tv upstairs while we watch what we like without getting a second sky box in...do the video senders enable you to watch taped material upstairs whilst live sky + is on downstairs?

Really don't want the pain of running cables if it can be avoided!!

A sky plus box cannot output 2 different things a the same time so if you connect up a second TV it will only mirror what the first TV is doing.

What about if you use the second scart output meant for a DVD recorder? I think that can play a different recording if you use the copy function in the planner. It would mean you could only watch recordings on the 2nd tv though.

I'm 99% sure that's not the case. Would be great if it was though.
