For a smallish living room connected to Virgin Media and not used with an AV amp - which 22" would be recommended?

Samsung LE22B450

LG 22LH2000

Tosh 22AV615DB

?

Or are there any other gems we should consider?

TIA

How come you're only considering a 22" for a living room however small, thats no bigger than a half decent computer monitor? How far away are you watching from?

I agree! I'm not - it's my mother, she believes that's the biggest that will fit - she sits quite close 5' or so. I will of course try and change her opinion when I see exactly where she plans to put it. I was just trying to gauge that if she insists on 22", which one would be worth while.

OK fair enough. My mum previously had a 21" 4x3 CRT and was convinced a 22" LCD would be fine for her as she didnt want to go bigger, but I convinced her to go with a 32" and she gets on fine with that now viewing from perhaps 7-8ft away.

If your mum is also coming from a 4x3 format screen remember that widescreen means the actual height of a 22" screen is significantly less than a 21" 4x3, so if she wants something that gives equal image size then something like a 26" would probably be closer.

yes I'm thinking 26" min - 32" more likely.

Thanks
