Not long after we moved into our house, Virgin came round and got everything set up for us, with *touch wood* no problems. When they were doing that they stuck a second box in for free in an upstairs bedroom.

This was before we moved our stuff in properly, and from where the white box on the wall is to where I want to put the actual set top box is about 6 times further than the cable I've been given. Does anyone know what sort of cable I need to get, and any suggestions of where to get it?

This is the sort of cable you need (Co-ax):

You should be able to reuse the connectors on the old virgin supplied cable but if not they are called F Type connectors and can also be had from Maplin.

Brilliant, cheers. Is it a simple job to add the F connecters - do they just slot on?

Yes very easy, they just screw on.
