Big stupid Ear defender style headphones? Reccomendations?

Hi, my current decent quality ear buds are about to die, and i'm in canada for the winter, so i'm gonna have cold ears, which i hate more than anything in the world ever. So i was thinking 2 birds, one stone. Anyone have any reccomendations for headphones that are likley to enclose as much ear as possible, and ideally sound awesome?

Sennheiser HD800 or HD650, stunning sound and full enclosure, needs an amp to sound their best though.
