Improving FM radio reception
Discussion
I have a Denon CD receiver (UDM31) in the bedroom, but I'm struggling to get FM reception on it without an irritating background of white noise. It's nowhere near the main TV aeriel, so plugging into that is not an option. At the moment I have a fairly substantial Thomson portable TV aeriel with built in signal booster, but it's clearly not up to the job as however I position it, the sound is pretty much the same (crap!). Are there any other options I could consider?

How about a radio aerial! A simple T arrangement from MaplinWell, it sounded like a good idea, but unfortunatley that's made the recption even worse.
Any thoughts on whether either of these would be any better:

It sounds like you're in a poor reception area or perhaps just that room is somehow 'shielded' from the station(s) you're trying to listen to. However, even if you had access to the 'TV' aerial it probably wouldn't help you for FM as you need a different aerial. You could get an external one put up, though it might be more than you want to spend, it may be the only solution. You could get the existing TV aerial brought to that room via a distribution unit and try using a Freeview box if the station you require is available on Freeview perhaps?
