TV makes a whine when 360 is running?

Have just added a xbox 360 to the kids den and the TV in there (a 36" CRT toshiba) makes a high pitched whistle/whine a few seconds after the 360 kicks in. Its not from the speakers as it does it with sound off.....and it stops the second the 360 shuts down. Also, doesnt do it when watching the sky box.

Any ideas? Feedback? Interference? Mouse thats a PS3 fanboy?

Stupid question, are you sure its not the fans on the 360?

They can make one hell of a racket, including high pitched whines...

nope...deffo the TV! Not sure whats inside a CRT that could whine? Again...not speakers, this still happens with the sound muted!

This is the kids (and my) den....no females aloud! (that includes my daughter....sons are far cooler!)

Scan coils on the CRT will be running at a different frequency to what its used to, make sure you have all of the 360 settings correct, if the res is set too high then this is a possibility also if its set to output at 60hz instead of 50hz then this also could be the case.

topman! it was on 60hz...now runs perfect on 50hz
