Any pics? Maybe they are card slots for pay per view or hotel TVs and they just send out the same casing on every unit.

the ones in our Hotel (although slightly bigger gap, maybe 2cm wide) is an expansion slot, they used it this year to install Freeview tuning cards onto the T.Vs.

Credit card sized...If it is an oldish/not a "flatscreen superdy dooda" thing then it may be for those companys where you rent the T.V and pay by the hour for its use? I used to come from a poor area where many families had these and the bit where you put the pound in the meter was usually on the side.

Its for the Setanta / ESPN pay per view card using a carrier similar to a PCMCIA.

CAM slot, stands for "Conditional Access Module". UK DTT would include Top Up TV or Setanta.
