so i know its not the most expensive, exotic stuff. but for the price, its hard to beat. the rotels provide enough detail, and power the quads to levels that my neighbours hate. the ecosse cabling opened things up a treat. they made a huge difference. my music choice is varied, and it plays it all with ease.....excuse my camera skills!

Nothing wrong with Rotel stuff, I've got a pile of it in the corner of the lounge, all bought cheap on ebay and it's good stuff.

to be honest. i did it all the wrong way. reading from reviews. mainly hfc. only listened to these and the cyrus 6. and for me, and what i listen to these won. probably the scale. however i listened to both set up's using pmc gb1's - the speaker i intended to buy. but a smaller room in an annex loft said no to those. the cyrus would probably suit the quads more.

Looks great. I used to use a Rotel 993 for my centre and rears it was really good held it's own with the rest of the kit easily!

Would have thought the Quads would be too bright a combination with the Cyrus'. Bit too sterile I would guess.

the quads were a little bright. but the cables seemed to have tamed them.
the rotel has some real output. tried them on some b&w 703's and it was so loud and controlled, it made my gut feel a little queezy. mega scale

but i needed the quads for my smaller room. listened to the smashing pumpkins 'tonight tonight' earlier. ever so slight booming on the main orchestral pieces, but thats due to wall proximity. a good little speaker
