yup - got the HD PVR here.

Works a treat although a little slow to start up from dead mode but that's probably the Disk starting up in the PVR version but I got round that by just leaving it powered on and annoying the greenies.

Menus system seems to suit me - and even Mrs Crmcatee is capable of sorting out her viewing evening (she's even managed to record some stuff including serials which I'm impressed with).

Doddle to setup - just plug it into your existing sky cable and you're good to go. Entering your post code I believe locks in whatever your local ITV and Beeb stations are.

HD signal is great connected through the HDMI connector on the back

Glad I made the move away from Sky.. smile

I have one which I'm looking to sell on as I've just got a TV sat card for my PC.

Drop me a line if you fancy a chat about it.

I have the old version (freeview) and it was superb, as someone else said it was a little slow to startup but once up and running it was fine.

If you have a Humax using Freesat and then get SKY, is it simply a case of slotting in the SKY card and then accessing all the channels via the Humax menus?

No you need a sky box to get sky, a freesat decoder wont get the pay sky channels even with a sky card only sky boxes have a decoder that will work.

I'm looking at getting on of these as I've just moved to a place with a Sky dish but no terrestrial aerial. I've been looking a while, but the price has just shot up - going from £140 to £250. Was I looking at the right thing?

you're probably looking at the difference between the Freesat box and the Freesat PVR Box
