The company I work for has a discounted consumer products scheme, and on it this month is the above remote for just under £210.

Is this a good price and does any one have any experience with one?

I have read a few reviews this morning and they seem to get good comments and bad. So I guessing I am looking to hear from people who have it and can tell me what its like to live with, as its a lot to spend on a gadget that could just end up on the shelf looking pretty.

I bought one about a month ago........

I like it, have rendered all other remotes to bottom of cabinet......

Good points:-

Can set up sequences ie watch tv and tv,cable box, amp, processor all turned..... and the most used / critcal functions all on one page.. ie channels from cable box, volume from amp etc.

Very easy to set-up...... albeit following initial set-up you will be fiddling with set-up over the following weeks to get it just so.

large screen which I can see with out my reading glasses.

Posserish yet functional.

Bad points.

I have an issue with it when turns tv on/ dvd on is sequence set-up as it keeps switching to the wrong input..... this is probably down to me.

Overall I like it and would give it 4.5/5 ....

It's fantastic

Since getting a Harmony to control all separates Inc Sky I've not touched my old remotes. It is the best!

The previous comment on the control issue should be a simple tweak in the online settings.

Do not hessitate to buy one or any Harmony model. Enjoy!

I have a Harmony 885, and once you "get it", it is superb. I'd prefer it if the hardware was a little more robust, but functionally-wise it is brilliant.

I've just got a Harmony One. Fantastic piece of kit - took about 30 mins playing to get it configured. SWMBO is much happier with one remote than 6!

So I suspect the 1100 would be fantastic as well.

As far as I can tell, all the Harmony remotes run pretty much the same software.

I am not sure if it does anything different, it just appears to do it better....

this i what I found out when I researched the products... some may be ballste, some may be correct... but the same things kept coming up

1) from what I read there appears to be some major software issues and sticking volume buttons with 1000, which are fixed in 1100.

2) I've also read of people who have had issues with the 1000 (obviusly brought before the 1100 was released) being given 1100 as replacements rather then having a direct swap (do logitech realise ther are issues with the 1000 ??? )

3) sgain from what I have read..... the 1100 is what the 1000 promised to be....

now this all based on what I read prior to buying 1100, as I could have bought the 1000 significantly cheaper........ but with so many reviews / comments saying howmuch better it was the 1000 I couldn't ignore them...

They're alright.

The Pronto Pro line however eclipses everything from Logitech.

It ought to for the price. The fact is, it doesn't.

Oh it very much does.

We sell both the H1100 and the entire Pronto line.

The Prontos outsell the 1100s roughly 4 to 1 for a very simple reason.

They're superior in every way and a significantly more complete control solution.
