Why is my audio sync out?
Discussion
I have noticed a few times that my audio form any source (sky, ps3) is a bit behind the video (its all fed through a Yamaha amp)
Now the amp has an audio delay function but that doesnt help if the audio is already running behind! Any obvious reason why this may be? I cant see any settings for this on sky HD or the PS3?

your speaker cables are too long?
Possibly if they circle the earth 3 times :PAudio sync normally goes the other way as it takes longer to process the image than it does the sound so you usually end up with audio first then the picture. If its going the wrong way and does it on all sources then it has to be the amp, if you fix it for instance on the sky box then the ps3 will still be out. Has this just started happening? or is it a new setup that you are not too familiar with?

Are you sure the video is before the audio? That's really unusual and would suggest that you've either set the amp or sky+ box to have too much delay added already. Set both to no delay and you'll probably find it's the other way round.
On the BBC HD preview loop there's a good audio delay test. I think it loops round each hour.
