Friends

I currently have Sky TV (with a knackered Sky+ box), a BT phone line and mobile phone and broadband provided by work.

Work are ceasing the mobile and the broadband, therfore I am in the market for...

- A mobile phone provider (I have the handset just need a card, nothing fancy just calls)
- A Broadband supplier (max speed available to my house in 500kbs - no cable)
- A repaie dor replacement for the sky box

What I am interested in your opinions on are the merits / risks of combining these all into a package (e.g. BT/Sky/Virgin)

The differences between the TV offerings of the diffeernt companies

Any advice or links to comparisons greatly appreciated

Many thanks

Stuart

Been using their internet for 2 years now. Zero downtime and 7.5meg download speeds on an 8meg package.

You can add Orange although I am not too sure about their TV stuff.
What do you mean by 500mbs ?
My actual speed is 2-2.5MB on an up to 8MB connection. I do not beleive anyone offers 500MB so are you talking 0.5MB ?? If so avoid TV via Broadband, your TV option will either be Sky or Freeview via an ariel.

Cost to onclude home phone etc. depends on the local exchange and if it is unbundled. If not you will pay a lot for Sky, and Virgin are unlikely to even quote.

My Orange package is mobile Phone (Dolphin 200), Broadband with VOIP 2nd line all calls free, landline and calls via handsets free evenings and weekends and line rental. Comes to about £35 per month, BT wanted £41 without the mobile but with Wi-Fi minutes, Sky wanted about £20 for home phone and broadband plus a Sky TV package.

I was an existing Orange PAYG user and Broadband but BT for phones. Note if you signed up for a BT Options package within the last 18 months you will have to pay an exit charge.

I changed to all Sky and upgraded to HD with the money I saved each month. I haven't had any problems with their BB service and get a reasonable speed.
