I've currently got standard SKY and have taken a cable from the RF out on the back of the SKY box into an signal amplifier and have run a cable up to my bedroom - so I can watch SKY in bed when required.

The only issue I have had with this setup is that I have to pre-set the channel I want to watch downstairs - not a biggie but not ideal.

Anyway...

I've got a SKY engineer coming in today to install SKY+ HD and from what I've read, the only output from the back of the new SKY+ box is HDMI.

If this is the case, will I still be able to watch SKY upstairs (without the need to subscribe to SKY multi-room).?

If so, how can I do this?

Thanks in advance for your collective wisdom thumbup

The Sky HD box had the same RF connections as the standard sky box so you can watch sky upstairs even from an HD box, you can even watch the HD channels upstairs BUT the picture quality will be standard definition NOT high definition.

ALSO if you used an aerial amp that is compatable with the sky eye system then you can add a sky eye upstairs and can then change channel from that room.

That's very intersting - thanks.

Do you have any more details?

A URL to a SKY eye and associated compatible aerial amp would be bery much appreciated - just to make sure I don't waste any money buying the wrong thing.
