surround sound layout, advice wtd

my carpet is being laid on the 28th sep and i want to run my speaker wires under the carpet.

i have a 5.1 doldy surround. centre speaker, 4 tall boys, and a subwoofer. where do you sound Gurus recommend i place them for a tidy surround effect.
