Will i need an aerial booster for this?

3 Kids bedrooms have freeview TVs with an aerial in the loft split with a Y splitter thing twice to get the leads to them.......now i want to do the same to the kids playroom a good 10m of wire away downstairs. Can i just Y split of the nearest room upstairs and go via that or/and will i need to boost the signal in the loft (how do i best do that?)

It all depends how good the signal is in the first place. Everytime you split you reduce the signal level and (sometimes) introduce a mismatch in the cable. The 'cleanest' way is to put an amplifier in the attic which has several outputs. Obviously a lot more messing about and you need to have a power source up there so you could always try the Y split and see if it works. If not - go with the amplifier.
