Naim Power Amp question
Discussion
Yeah, I heard that Naim were not big fans of bi-amping, but don't really understand why.
The truth is, I have a NAP150 and NAP175 I bought for my Home Cinema, but can't face the wiring hell that is removing the old stuff, so thought i'd use the NAP175 in stereo mode and bi-amp my 2ch Naim system (uses a NAP150). My old 2ch was based around a Creek bi-amped set-up and they (Creek), raved about bi-amping so thought i'd give it a go.
I could hack up the 150 and 175 and turn them into 4 mono blocks...

I think Naim's philosphy is that the a better power amp is better than two biamped lesser amps. If you want to use multiple ower amps then they would suggest an Active System!
I'm a firm beliver in bigger power amps, there is so substitute for power (as in cars!) as you usually get better bass control, better bass and low volumes and much faster transient handling (due to the size of power supplies that large amps invariably have)
