I'm looking for a speaker system to compliment the Panny 37X10. I have a small living room as I live in a cottage and I have a budget of around £200-£250. The system will also be linked to Sky HD and possibly a PS3.

You'll struggle to find anything half decent within that budget. Big seller for us is a Panasonic blu ray home theatre 2:1 which has 2 small speakers and a subwoofer. Also plays DVD, CD and ipod. Can also play ipod video to your telly. Expect to pay around £550.00 ish.

LG HT902TB. It's around £270 and seems a lot better than it should be for the price. It won't match a proper system, but it's not bad at all.

I really can't justify spending £500 on a system. I'm tempted to go for this; http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B001Y8Y61... It's in budget, it's panasonic and has an Ipod dock.

I had a try out of the LG HT904 and that panasonic yesterday. Despite the fact that it's got LG on the box, it sounded a lot better and has a better range of input options. HDMI in aswell as Optical in. That's the way I'm heading, I've just got to get over my snobbery!

I have LG products, so certainly not a snob. The appeal of the Panny is the compatibility of the system with the TV I own.

Compatibility? Do you mean HDMI CEC?

That's a good point, having it all as a single control system is a very sensible idea, but aren't they all compatible via CEC?

Edit: beaten to it!

No idea, however another issue is price. The LG is more than I would want to spend.

Is it? I thought they were about the same pricewise? I doubt you'll go to far wrong with the Panny to be honest.

Yeah, £100 more. The Panny is £199 on Amazon.
