Freesat Cable requirement

Hi all.

The GF has a new HD LCD and Humax FreesSat HDR recorder. Outside is the old (Sky, not used) Sat-dish with single LNB.

Can she can use the existing dish and cable as is and lose out on watching improved FreeSat HD channels?

Or are TWO cables (plus quad LNB) required to watch FreeSat and FreeSat HD channels?

Just the one cable required for watching, you need two if you need to record freesat also.
