active speakers

For my PC I'm using a pair of Creative T20 speakers. Were about £55 & I'm happy with the way they sound , so thinking of getting a 2nd pair for playing CDs downstairs (am after a small set up so no separate amp). Anyone know if there's anything similar in price, but would give a better sound ??

You'll have to do a bit of searching but Wharfdale do a set of active speakers that look like picture frames that come with a sub for about 60 pounds.
