Playing DVD through new samsung Plasma
Discussion
Hello all
at a BBQ tonight and our better halfs wanted to play singstar on my friends ps2. The cable was damaged so we borrowed someone elses which has a different end on the tv side-the coloured cables. No matter what order we put them into the two sets of inputs (2 x3) and what sources we selected, it would not appear. Although DV did show "no input".
It's too late now, but I wondered what we were doing wrong, we took the DVD player out and mirrored it and still no joy.
Anyone?

It depends on the colour of the connectors,
If it was Red, White, Yellow then Red&White are Audio and Yellow is Video so on a samsung you plug these into the side connectors matching up the colours then using the source button keep pressing until you see AV on the screen, this is then the correct input, you could also plug these into a scart-phono adapter and plug that into ext1 or 2 then with the source button select either Ext1 or 2 depending on wich one you plugged it into.
If on the other hand it was Red, Green, Blue then all of these are the picture connector, on the rear of the set you will see the corresponding sockets to plug these into (near the pc socket), also there will be a red and white phono pared together, these are the audio and plug in next to the RGB lead THEN turn on the playstation and press the source button repetedly until you see the component input on the screen. On the samsung sets the component input does not appear on the list until there in an active signal.
