Hi guys,

Just seen this TV - seems very good for the price - http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/product.do?sku=55...

Can get it down to around the £435 area with a code so seemed a great deal.

Anyone with more TV expertise care to comment on it. I'm not looking for the best of the best but seemed like good value for money

Cheers

They seem to have a weird software problem, they set up fine, both digital and analogue tune in fine, there is no TV/DTV button on the r/c, when you select a channel from the guide then it works ok but when you key in a channel number using the keypad lets say 19 (Dave) then you get analogue channel 19 just a screen full of snow! To get back to freeview you have to put the guide back on and pick a channel from there.

Apart from that they seem ok for the price wink

I recently considered some non Japanese engineered plasma sets and whilst on the very finest Blu-ray source material they were passable ito quality (assuming you had imbibed sufficient Bordeaux,) it really was the televisual equivalent of buying a Ssangyong Rhodius because you had to.

Ball bouncingly cheap but after several hours with such lo-cal processing, I'd really rather act myself. hehe
