What is PSM192?
Discussion
Pretty much what the topic says really, what is PSM192?
I've got my eye on an old TAG DVD player at the moment and have done some reading on it, Clicky and I'm not sure what they are referring to why they talk about PSM192 and if the screen supports it.
As this thread is from 2003 I'm guessing it's some sort of progressive scan issue?

Thanks for that, have posted over there now.
I'm wondering if the money on a piece of 'old' tech is worth the money £450ish, I've been reading about them and they seem to have certain issues with the doors and such. Also if they are worth running on a screen like a Panasonic TH42PV500 and if a Yamaha DSP-AX763 is good enough to exploit it as well.
It's tricky as I'm not sure if it's worth putting a player like that amongst kit that might not be good enough alongside it...

From what I've read repair costs can be frightening, and as a DVD player I think by todays standards it'll be pretty average, as even with the PSM there is no upscalling.
On the other hand the DVD32R is supposed to be a fantastic CD transport, especially if paired with a Tag amp with the syn-link. From what i've read many people use them primarily as transports now, especially as we now have Bluray.
