Sorry, I couldn't decide if this should be in the TV or DIY forum.

I'll be hopefully wall mounting my TV shortly. TV is a 42" jobbie. But where do I put my Xbox/Sky player/DVD player?

I thought about a shelf next to it but that will just look turd. Then I considered a stand underneath but that seems to defeat the object of wall mounting it.

What have other people done? Pictures would be great.

I'm guessing at Monitor Audio Radius ones, but I'm sure I'll be corrected if wrong:

They are Monitor Audio Radius 180s L & R and a Radius 225 in the Middle. They are not as good as a big set of floorstanders, but they sound fine and look smart. They also come with all the brackets you need to mount them included in the box.

Obviously you need to run them with a sub.

But surely the ikea set up pretty much negates the need for hanging the TV on the wall in the first place. They would have been just as well placing the TV on the unit.

I know its like a vicious circle. I was thinking about mounting it over a fireplace therefore there would be nowhere to have a stand below anyway

Agree - looks daft. Unless the TV is a monster that needs to be out the way stick it on a unit. Never understood the TV on a wall thing!

Most TV's live in a corner, the idea of the wall thing is so you can have a monster TV in a room that previously would only take a little one wink It is also 'the look' that people go for, as for the ikea one, the tv could have easily sat on the lower cab, but it looks alot better mounted on the wall.
