How much for a half decent blu ray player

Since its not all that long to Christmas, I'm going to (soon) start dropping hints to the OH about something for me/us...a half decent blu ray player.

What sort of money am I looking at?

TV's a Panny TXP42G10 and viewing distance is 8-9 feet if that makes any difference.

I have the (discontinued Sony BDP-S350 myself, but you might prefer the Panny DMPBD35 as it should allow you to use one remote to control the TV and player). Newer models such as the BDP-S360 and DMPSD60 don't seem to really add anything to the mix TBH, but by Christmas you might find the above discontinued ones hard to find.

BD35 is perfectly good for the money and a cut above most others at that price point too.

I have the Sony 350 too and it is excellent and is a bargain at £140!
