Cheap 32" LCD...question

The kids want a cheap (£250-£350) 32" LCD for their bedroom. It may occasionally be used for DVDs or TV but will mainly be for the PS2/PS3.

What is more important considering the above, contrast ratio or resolution?

There appears to be quite a lot around in this price bracket and I know that none of them are going to be stunning, but if there any particular makes/models which are recommended then I'd rather go with one of those. Any suggestions?

LG/Toshiba would be my call for the price.
At that level, you'll find the PQ is much of a muchness.
If you can push the budget another £100, then I'd suggest the Panasonic L32X10 and JVC LT32DR1 as proof positive everyone will be very pleased you did spend the extra.
