As i am going to upgrade i currently have a 40" plasma. I am about to order hd from sky but this does not cover most of the soaps etc that my other half watches, so what will a normal digital tv look like on a 60" set .

Depends on the set - I have a Pioneer 600A and Freeview looks fab on the right channels. The lower power channels look a bit choppy, but no worse than they did on my previous 50".

On 'lesser' quality sets it can be quite poor, also depends on what is recieving the channels, for instance itv is much better on freeview than on sky.

I was just curious because my own lounge is 7 x 5 and I only have a 32" LCD and am thinking of maybe going to a 37". That said your lounge is still reasonably large so what will you do with the space in the middle, you can't put anything there because it will block your view or do you just use the room to watch TV? We have the TV midway and a group of sofas then another sofa at the other end for listening to music which we can drag facing the log fire in winter smile

Hi the room has bi fold doors down one wall and a door in the other wall. I may move the tv position as i have not finished the room yet. My thoughts were to be able to see into the garden and watch tv.
