Currently have a sonos system, gallo sub and nucleus micro speakers

When I ordered, it was suggested that the micros should be wired into the back of the sub from its own outputs, and then have the sub wired into the sonos via the sonos sub output

However, i can get any sound to play through the micros when I wire it to the TR1 - have tried all the speaker wire sockets on the back

As a result, TR1 wired through the sub out put of the sonos, and the micros wired direct into the Sonos unit, but im worried that i may be putting too low a frequency through the sonos

So... questions... am I risking damage to the micros wired like this, and if so, what did I do wrong such that i can work out how to wire the speakers into the back of the TR1?!

7- SPEAKER (HI) LEVEL IN & SPEAKER (HI) LEVEL OUT: For connecting subwoofer to receivers or
integrated amplifiers using speaker cables. To be used where Line Level outputs are not available, or
where a "High Pass" filter (i.e. to prevent low frequencies from reaching stereo speakers) is needed.

For systems where preventing bass signals from reaching your stereo speakers would be desirable,
connect TWO SETS of speaker cables to the terminals of your receiver or amplifier. Run one set to the
"HI LEVEL IN" terminals of your TR-1, and the second set directly to your stereo speakers. In this
manner, you have by passed the TR-1 "High Pass" crossover.
Are we to presume, from the lack of info given, that you're running the ZP90 (or discontinued ZP80) ZonePlayer - the one without speaker terminals?
If so, then you need an amplifier to run the TR-1 via its HLI terminals, with the Neucleus attached to the HLO, and the RCA Sub-out of the Sonus to the TR-1's RCA Sub-in.
Then adjust the controls for crossover frequency (100-120Hz), phase, and level, and the switch for Bass EQ, to get the optimal level to integrate with the Nuclei.

If not, and it's the ZP120 (also discontinued ZP100), then connect Nucleus to the speaker terminals on the Sonus, and the TR-1 to the RCA sub (LFE) output - that's the job done, and the Nucleus running without low frequencies present, although a little less than ideally, since the Sonus is only 80Hz low pass, rather than 100-120Hz the owner's manual recommends.

Yes, its the zp100 im running. I was told by stoneaudio to wire the sub to the sonos, and the speakers from the sub, but after plugging the wires into all the options on the back of the sub, none were making the speakers work

Very odd!

Try it as how I've suggested above, and see how you get on.

Thats how I currently have it working, so sub cable into the tr1, and the nucleus direct to the back of the sonos

Just wondering what I was doing wrong to have not been able to get the nucleus working when plugged direct to the tr1 as recomended

You weren't doing anything wrong - you were wrongly advised on how it should work.
It's the way the designer has made the sub work, and was only a matter of reading the owner's manual to understand that.
No rocket science involved - so whomever advised you on their suitability and method of connection to work with your Sonos, needs to spend more time reading, and less time assuming.
