Toshiba HD LCD And SKY HD

I have a Toshiba 37 lcd tv and when I change the channel from a HD one to a SD or vice versa the screen goes blank momentarily before I can view the channel. I have both the Tv and sky box settings on automatic picture display settings. The Tv and sky box are connected via a hdmi lead.

It's caused by HDCP handshaking when moving to a content protected stream.

Not heard of it dropping on a Tosh, Samdungs are notorious for it though.

HDMI, its largely cack I'm afraid.

Thanks for the reply. So, HDMI is largely cack, what is the better connector I should get at similar price range of a 1.5m hdmi lead?
