Sky+ fan always on?

In the last couple of days the fan on my sky+ box seems to be on flat out at all times. I'm not entirely convinced it's temperature related as it hasn't done this on warmer days.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there anything I should be trying before getting the screwdrivers out and having a poke round inside it?

Power down at the mains, leave for a couple of minutes then power up again.

9 times out of 10 it will revert to normal behaviour. If not do the obvious like check the vents are clear

I did that when it first happened, but it's since returned to being on all the time. The unit doesn't seem particularly dusty, or warm to touch.
