Hello chaps,

would be grateful for some advice concerning lack of picture.

Im staying at a relatives house while they're away - they have a Pioneer
pdp-5080 (I think - will confirm later). I turned it on last night to watch sky HD, dont know if I've pressed a button on the remote control in error, but the screen has turned a pink colour and there is no sound whatsoever.

If I press a button on the remote there is no indication on the screen e.g changing channel etc. Tv has worked fine in the past few days until now - any advice much appreciated, would hate to think I have broken it!!

thanks iin advance, B

Hopefully like you say its a wrong button press, sounds obvious but power everything down and re-start and then see what happens.

If the power indicator light is flashing on the TV then it could indeed be a fault? If it is, then its flashing up the fault code so count the flashes and you'll then have to speak to the warranty/repair place.

Sounds like you may have selected the wrong AV input...You should have 4 buttons along the top perhaps marked 1.2.3.4....Put the Sky box on select each one of these one at a time but give a bit of time between each one.

Sounds more like a cable has worked itself loose to me. Check the connections.

Good point..perhaps the SCART from the Sky box isnt fully in
If it's Sky HD then hopefully it's an HDMI cable wink

I did reread the OP and noticed HD! Mind you we have revisited various installations that Sky carried out and had SCARTS on HD boxes!
