In a couple of months time I intend on buying the above tv due to moving to a larger home.I also wish to upgrade to a surround sound system more in keeping with the quality of the television. One feature this new system must have is free standing floor speakers due to the nature of the room they will reside in.Does anyone have any recommendations with regard to the sound system? Thanks in advance for any replies.Neilmac.

Hi , I wouldnt leave it a couple of months for the TV if I were you, they are in very short supply and will doubtless be all sold out by then. Quality is a personal thing but if you wish to stick with Pioneer the forthcoming SC-LX72 amplifier will match very well with the Tannoy Revolution Signature range and deliver a great sound.
There are endless options on speakers, do you have an idea on your room size and will you use the system for music as well as movies? Any limitations , do you need a stlyish speaker or happy with traditional boxes? Any colour requirements?

If you want a KRP-500A go and buy it today, if you can even still find one now, they definitely wont be available in two months time.

As for speakers, budget would help

Thanks for your quick replies regarding my query.I have no preconceived ideas on the styling of the speakers, quality being more important.Yes the system will also be used for playing my music on and I suppose if I thought of budget maybe 1500 pounds? I would'nt know if this is sufficient, the room is approx 20feet by 15feet.

I hate to say it but me and Gandalf were tweaking a V10 earlier and in THX mode (with the 'sharpness' at 0) it rendered one of the X-Men Blu-ray grainfests not just grainfree but actually sublime.

That the Z1 is even nicer and considerably sexier, well...

£1500 - Denon 1910 and Gallo A'Divas with a TR1 Sub

Though if you can stretch the budget a little there are some M&K Sat/Sub systems that are sublime.
