Recommend me an amp please
Discussion
My Cyrus 2 with PSX (circa 1988) is dying a slow but sure death and I want to replace it before it leaves me in the lurch. I listen mainly to vinyl through a fairly premium source (Oracle/Koetsu) and my speakers are Spica TC-50s (the triangular ones). I don't want to spend more than £750 second hand and it can be integrated or pre/power separates. It doesn't need to have a phono stage as I have an MF X-LP and the only other input I need is for a CD player. I need something with fairly large conkers as the system is in a large room.
Suggestions much appreciated.

Funnily enough I used to have a Roksan Xerxes. However I was working at the Music Room in Glasgow at the time and a disgruntled customer came in with the Oracle that he'd owned for a week and had managed to completely shear off the cantilever on a brand new Linn Troika (about £600 at the time - late 80s). He left with a Cal Tempest valve CD player (about £5k) and wasn't bothered about trade in value. I bagged the Oracle for a song and sold the Xerxes to a mate.
Anyhoo, back to the amp...it's been fixed about 10 times in its life and would probably be easily fixed by a hobbyist but I'm a bit sick of its unreliability and fancy a change. To be honest, it was always on the harsh sounding side for me but I bought it whilst being in the trade and Mission discounts were hard to ignore!
