Funny Noise Coming From My 50" Plasma

As the title .. I've got a 50" LG Plasma, out of warranty now and I have a strange whirring noise? It happens all the time but sometimes gets loudwe and then quieter again.

Sounds a bit like a a noisey fan or something? Anyone got any ideas ... Just wanted to get an idea before I got someone to take a look so I didn't get led up the garden path

most likely, our Panasonic must have at least 10. wouldn't be surprised if one went.
