Hitachi UT37MX70 currently at £399 at Richer sounds

Guys
My Thompson 32" LCD is playing up and after ringing a few repair places they seem to be a pig to work on and may cost me a fortune to try and repair.
It was a long service award from work (hmmm) and has lasted bout 3 years max
so....Im in the market for a replacement
Seen the above and seems good value for 1080p . I only need one HDMI as it will connect to my Yamaha RX V1900 amp and the speakers i have will take care of the sounds . The Hitachi has no tuner but I will feed it from sky+ via the amp . Not getting HD sky yet till they knock the £10/month tax on it.

So im after a thumbs up on the above or can you recommend a better one with great picture but not bothered bout sound quality or freeview/tuner (unless its freeview HD)

Budget is negotiable but could do with <1k and 32"+

any of the samsung LED range look stunning and if u look in right places u can get 40" for round 1k. failing that look at pioneer kuro range shud b able to get 1 of those in a few sizes for under a grand.
u mite get summat decent frm tesco, dont laff bt sum of bigger stores av a gud range of decent tv's, and they r giving out vouchers for free sky hd boxes atm wi every tv bought, and they got panasonic 37" S10 for bout 600.
or look on www.digitaldirect.co.uk , or try ebay bit risky i know bt if it pays off u cud save 100's

Forget 1080p native screens at 32-37", unless you plan on watching Blu-Ray movies and true 1080p rendered games from 3 feet away!
If 37" is all you want/can fit into the space, etc then the Panasonic X10 will be more than sufficient for your needs, and give you a better picture than the similarly sized and priced LCDs.

plus you'll get a free 5year manufacturers warranty from independent dealers...you never know when you might need it!
