I've been thinking about making a few tweaks to my home cinema set-up. I have been looking at getting a new Panasonic TX L32G10 LCD TV and just wondered what the general opinions were on the set as I have heard some good reviews about it.

I'll be plugging in a PS3 (via HDMI), Wii (via Component) and a Toshiba DVD Player (via HDMI) just for some background, and will pull the sound out of the Audio-out's as I have a Naim Hi-Fi setup (basic 2.0 Ruark speakers)!

I have also been weighing up the Freesat HD vs. Sky HD, and I am leaning towards going Freesat as long as the picture quality is just as good? What are the thoughts? The only things that would sway me is the IRL on SS3 and WTA tennis on Eurosport, but I dont think either are broadcast in HD anyway???

Any thoughts much appreciated.

I've just upgraded my old 32" crt to a 42" plasma from LG. The PQ6000 to be precise smile And a very nice set it is too!
Cost me £670 from Richer Sounds with their own 5 year guarantee. I'm getting sky hd fitted on Wednesday, with the package I've already got, Eurosport is included and can't wait to watch the last week and a half of the tour de France in HD. WTA tennis is on Eurosport HD too:

SPORT: WTA Tennis
On: Eurosport HD (412)
Date: Thursday 30th July 2009 (starting in 17 days)
Time: 21:30 to 00:00 (2 hours and 30 minutes long)

The Bank of the West Classic in Stanford, US, is down to the last 16. The WTA's top ladies will be battling it out for Aleksandra Wozniak's title.

I had a long hard look at the market and everyone recommends plasma over lcd. I nearly bought a panasonic x10 model, which is slight dearer than the lg, but the lg is the better all round set. Very happy with my purchase so far.

How far are you going to sit from the screen? Worrying about HD on a 32" set is a waste of time, unless you sit closer than 6 feet.
