Got a Teac Reference 380 that's no longer required, bought back in january. Would prefer to avoid ebay as it costs too much and seems lot's of people get messed about nowadays, any ideas ?

Cheers

You could join AVForums and sell it in their classifieds, but don't expect a fortune for any AV gear as they are quite savvy on there, especially pricewise. You might get stupid offers based on being a new member with no trader rating too, but if you have an Ebay account with good feedback, you can mention that as it will help. Do a search for similar models and don't expect to sell for more than the last one went for as they seem to have a funny idea that one sale sets the price for every example....

Actually that doesn't sound like much of a recommendation, having read it back, but I have sold stuff on there myself.

You could also place a free classified ad in HiFi World magazine. I sold some speakers this way about a year ago.

David, just a quick aside - I ended up selling all the Naim gear to one bloke who liked its synergy. Didn't do too badly; the CDX, 102, 250, Hicap2 and NAPSC went for around £3k in the end. Was sad to see it go though. Just working out what I want to build next.. smile
