The TV has been suffering from poor reception due to the aerial so I've had that fixed, only for the TV itself to give up!!

I've got a 4 year old 36" Toshiba and its been a great tele, so I guess I need to get a 37" plasma/LCD (anything much larger and I'll have a domestic incident!!). rolleyes

My golden rule for buying anything like this is to search the massed ranks of PH, and indeed I bought both my last tv and my father-in-law a 37" Panasonic only last Christmas and its a fabulous bit of kit. So far PH has never let me down!! beer

So, having searched fruitlessly through the archives, what is the recommendation these days? I don't want to spend silly money, so south of £1k, I'm not into paying for HD service and really only use it for normal tele and the kids with their Playstation 2 and Wii. Is the Panasonic still the one to go for, and if so, which model?

Now, the most important bit, we only have one tele in the house so we don't lose the kids to their rooms all the time, but it does mean we now don't have a tele, and need one urgently!! The usual places of supply or have things changed? confused

Thanks in advance!

Cheers

Rob

I have the same and it is superb. Bought from derestrictor on here and received excellent service with next day delivery.

Thanks for the info guys - seem to be set on the Panasonic.

I assume derestrictor is digital direct usual website as that's where I've bought all my gear for a number of years now (the old tv came from there!!).

The only problem now is that the tv has started to work intermitently and when it does, its having problems with the digital signal strength. All this after having just had a new aerial and booster installed. I've had to revert to analogue tonight.

All in all, I'm not really happy and need to bottom these problems out before ordering the new tv.

Time to get home early tomorrow night and see what I ca sort.

Cheers again
