Just the words SKY and 'Staff offer' make me shudder still... and it's been 3 years since I had to sort the w@nkers at Sky out over a #special# deal I was entitled to at the time.

After it took 2 months of phonecalls to get it installed, and them then taking £10 a month too much for another year, then refusing to refund it anymore, I decided to cancel.

Recorded letters sent, hours and hours (and I mean hours and hours, no phonecall to Sky takes less than an hour if you actually have a billing or service query) on the phone sorting it out and talking to brain deads in scotland who couldn't find any of the staff offer on their systems - so I must have been lying right? Even though I had a screen dump of the offer etc...

I've now had two different debt collection agencies chase me for the £47 that sky say I still owe.

I would so love for it to go to court as I have kept copies in a file of all the letters and proofs of posting.

I would rather watch a blank wall than have to ever use Sky again.

Be warned!!!

And anyways, isn't this thread an advert and shold be locked?

Haven't had any problems the other times I did it and people were appreciative for the savings.

Can you get both of those? or it is only 1 from the list? So it'd be £49 for the box and then all TV packages with movies for £23/month?

My box is a bit temperamental, £50 for a new HD box would be great.

I think it's (a or b) plus c but it is for new customers only.

Sometimes we get deals for existing customers but not this time.

If you start a new subscription at that address it would but you'll only get one HD box at the discounted price.

I never did get the £50 of M&S vouchers they promised me for recommending a new customer despite chasing them and being promised they were on their way on numerous occasions...

Now you mention it, neither did I! And neither did my parents when they recommended me!

An ex friend of mine (she erased my number and me off facebook and dont know why) used to give me the codes for offers.

I gave my mate one and then he spent 6 months trying to get it sorted from being charged the wrong amount per month to being charged £150 for install when it should have been £50.

everytime he rang they knew he was on a friends and family scheme, but it took him sending the outgoings of his account to prove that they were taking too much as they didnt believe him.

I'm happy that Tycho posted it for those who might want to take up the offer.

However your post, and many, many other comments and experiences I've heard about Sky are enough to prevent me from ever having anything to do with them. OK, sometimes you get caught out when you deal with a company, but you'd have to be stupid to get into something where you just seem bound to have an absolute customer service nightmare.

I've got some codes here that if I read the T&C right you can get a Sky HD box for £29 when you join Sky.
