Connecting TV to VCR, DVD Player and Digibox

An elderly neighbour has all of these, and says that they were all working, however, there was an issue the other day and her VCR wouldn't record anymore. I went over earlier to have a look and couldn't figure it out, so plugged the tv and vcr together to get her through the weekend (she doesn't watch much telly so doesn't use the digital stuff yet. But the whole setup confused me, this is a list of equipment:
Tv - scart out, aerial in
Digibox - scart in, scart out, aerial in, aerial out
VCR - scart in, scart out, aerial in, aerial out
DVD - scart in, aerial in, aerial out

The cables that were there were:
2 x aerial leads
Aerial (freestanding)
2 x scart cables (which is where I got confused.....)

How do I connect these all together so that she can record onto VHS, watch DVD without swapping any cables, and watch the digital channels when the switch over happens?
