Having just had a new extension built, I am in the market for a new TV, amp and surround speakers - ceiling mounted as I have run the cables already. I am hoping for a 42" TV.

Am I being unrealistic??? Or can someone point me in the right direct - flush mounted speakers would work best for me visually, as we are going for the minimalist look

Ta muchly

Ceiling speakers for multi-channel sound exist but to get ones that present the sound field where it should be they're not cheap.

What's your total budget for everything?

The Q Acoustics Q-AV system is about as minimalist as you can get without compromising quality.

Onkyo TX-SR507 5.1 receiver

Q Acoustics Q-AV 5.1 speakers

plus all the cables for £819

looks like a good deal to me

Yes, you must get the new Panasonic TXP-42V10B 'THX calibrated' plasma.

Thankfully, our cries for a replacement for Pioneer's much lamented PDP-428XD appear to have been answered.
