Is there a catch?

- Option one is to take Sky+ with line rental at £10pm with a £30 install fee and free plus box.

- Option two is to take Sky+ HD at an additional £10pm, line rental free for a year, a £49 HD box and free install.

This makes the monthly cost of both options the same with a small difference in one off cost making HD seem like a no brainer?

Am I forgetting something? If not it looks like a good time to join.

I think there is another fee for the HD, £9.50 i think?
I am on the waiting list for my second box as there is a three month waiting list for HD boxesfrown

Thinking about it that could be for having two HD boxes?

Yes the sky HD is £10 on top, but the line rental is free for 12 months with HD actually making it the same per month for a year at least.

get your name on the list for the HD box then as it's a no obligation list just to register your interest.

Ordered mine yesterday, "engineer" coming out on Tuesday to install, can't believe how quick that is.

On the other hand we have no phone line so are taking sky up on the offer of providing the phone line service, that bit will take three weeks and then we can apply to get Broadband.

My HD will be in Friday and like you I have to wait for the phone line install before applying for broadband. Very pleased with the package and savings over BT line install.

I guess new customers are getting priority?

Hi

The delay is purely through Sky if you upgrade through an independent then you will get the box within the week for the same deal, we are independent sky installers and have no trouble getting boxes, I believe the delay with Sky is as they are obviously more interested in servicing new business.

Yep I am a new customer as we have moved house and the sky was in the girlfriends name so she cancelled and I took up the offer in my name for the new house.
